Guard, Goga is receiving one such binocs. K.C.Meena,

How is IGT
the ' Tourism & Conservation Blend?' Total 205 khaki
uniforms were provided by IGT to casual Forest Guards
of Ranthambhor Tiger Reserve as they did not receive
it from Government. Ms. Pratibha Patil, then Governor
and now President of India, presenting one such. On

India has
about 600 Sanctuaries and National Parks. The number
of Project Tiger Reserves has increased four times since
they were set up in 1973. Manoj Vardhan visits such
reserves to feel the ground realities and assess if
the management needs any support. The photo shows Manoj
at Kaziranga Park. |
Manoj has cultivated the IGT as the ‘Tourism
and Conservation Blend’ : offering tourism-revenue and
its connectivity to promote conservation and meet conservation-costs.
He has provided khaki uniforms to 205 ‘casual’
Forest Guards of Ranthambhor Tiger Reserve (who were not provided
this by the Government), which were formally handed over to
them by Ms. Pratibha Patil, the then Governor of Rajasthan,
who is presently the President of India.
He has financed budding bird watchers to travel
to bird parks, provided binoculars to Forest Guards and Birdwatchers
which are received by him from the Royal Society for Protection
of Birds (RSPB), under its used binocs-scheme. He also financially
supports annual Birding Fair (Jaipur).
He organises in-bound as well out-bound tours
and takes delight in promoting domestic tours.
He has given cash-rewards and clothing to
forest staff who rescued Tigress and its cubs from an unused
well outside Ranthambhor Tiger Reserve.
