Birds
India has about 1,300 species of birds recorded. Such is the bird presence that any city can offer you
about twenty species at a given time. Greater birding is possible in Parks, some especially designated (like Keoladeo National Park,
or Corbett, ), forest areas, wetlands, river fronts and grassy patches. Resident, Endemic and Migratory species find favour here as they are well respected by people though habitat changes are causing threat to
some species.

Birding Fair
The Indian Birding Fair is an annual event, organized at Jaipur’s Man Sagar lake, where about 170 species of birds can be observed round the year. IGT sponsors this Fair
to take bird watching in to thousands of homes. The Indian Army provides additional binoculars and expert birders join it from Bharatpur to teach all about birding. The Fair is in association with the British Birdwatching Fair (Oakham, Leics).
